The PUA Scam Connection

I found this interesting post at some recovering PUA site. I’ve known for a long time that some PUAs were in on the scam. I’ve sat in on free RSD seminars where they hawk $2000/weekend PUA workshops.

Style of course wrote in “The Game” that he was out for good. Right after that, he began the Stylelife Academy which just hawks more PUA workshops. That was back in 2004; this is now 2013. Just imagine the profits – 10 years, 10 workshops a year, 2K/workshop, 10 people per workshop: 2 million dollars ballpark. That’s big medicine.

Now we all know about Roosh hawking ebooks, and Roissy is rumored to have a book in the works. But every PUA from David D to Ross Jeffries to Eric Weber and all those modern PUAs have ties to “the syndicate”, a shady marketing scam factory. Read and learn:

  1. We live in a capitalist system (theoretically), so if there is a market for something, people can charge what they want. Affiliations are not scams; they are people giving references. Most PUA haters are men who didn’t benefit from what they learned OR are people who did and now look back on that experience with the embarassment some people have for their adolescence; they’re ashamed of what they used to be and the fact that they had to pay money to learn what now seems sort of obvious. The fact is, these trainers- while I’m sure some are better than others- are doing something no one else is: taking men under their wing and teaching them how it really is. Are boys learning these things from their dads these days? Not likely. This is a job, albeit unusual, like any other and it takes work to orchestrate. So many people in the community give freely of their time, but there is no reason they can’t profit from it, if they so choose. Time is money, and those devoting so much time to a cause shouldn’t be expected to always give for free when, if they are paid, they can make it a true career and do a much better job of it.

    • You have a unique perspective – perhaps worth writing about.
I do admire Savoy’s Magic Bullets concept. Yet, it is only a translation for A Dimmer GenBrandon, like the Vulgate is a Latin translation (for quasi-commoners) of the Bible from Greek & Hebrew. Not a lot new, but a few tweaks.

Your points on mentors imitating fatherless boys are well-taken, but the original pua texts are readily available on the Internet without need for interloping interpreters.

    • Most PUA haters are men who didn’t benefit from what they learned

Wouldn’t a scam also do that? Some people do benefit from scams, it’s called placebo.

      http://www.seductionmyth.com/just_prove_it/the-placebo-effect/

and the fact that they had to (1) pay money to learn what now seems sort of obvious (2).

      Actually

      1) I made a ton of money from PUA. Back when I was a sucker and believed it, I actually sold this crap (I managed PUA instructors, marketed PUA books, did affiliate deals with PUA gurus, joint seminars, marketing deals etc)

      2) Actually, now that I am getting laid a ton (I’m mostly using wealth, connections, status, popularity and ties with celebrities, it’s easier and more effective)… YES there is stuff that seems “obvious” to me and that I cringe that I didn’t know before (how to escalate, play the numbers, build social proof, comfort etc)… But most of the stuff that’s obvious to me was either NOT taught in most PUA systems, or it was taught WRONGLY (so it would take more products and upsells) and it was taught with a bunch of fluff or it was implied or sometimes TAUGHT AGAINST

The fact is, these trainers- while I’m sure some are better than others- are doing something no one else is: taking men under their wing and teaching them how it really is.

      – Leykis will do this for you, and he’s not a PUA.
      – Ron Louis and Copeland Will Do This For You and they’re not PUAs

People selling flluffy-scammy solutions always outnumber the ones selling distilled truth, Look at weightloss. About 99 out of 100 weight-loss products are quick-fixes, gimmicks etc… Let’s say 1 out of 100 is pure distilled truth (ussually to the point, no fluff, no supplements included, no gimmicks and no wild promises on speed of weightloss).

It’s the same in every industry. Only 1% of dating advice (guidance) for men is legit, non-fluff, non-scammy… Guess what, none of those 1% of teachers/authors use the designation PUA.

Are boys learning these things from their dads these days?

What dad is gonna sit down with his son and teach him to do physical escalation?

And boys are not learning it from most PUAs either. PUAs would not make much profit if they just taught what YOU REALLY NEED. There’s no upsell, there’s no additional product to sell, no additional seminars, no magical “secrets”. The truth can be taught in one hour, and demonstrated in 20 minutes. It can’t be repackaged and resold, which is why PUA’s have to fill products with 99% fluff (which isn’t just time-wasting but often harmful too).

So many people in the community give freely of their time, but there is no reason they can’t profit from it, if they so choose.

Yes, they’re called keyboard jockey virgins. Back when I was in the community I had the “pleasure” of meeting thousands of these guys in real life. Most couldn’t hold eye-contact, yet they were spending hours online blogging and dishing out advice about “the truth about women”. Quite a large percentage of the gurus I met couldn’t

      • There’s no doubt that people are different on the screen than they are in reality. And I agree with you that there is probably is a lot of fulff and misinformation out there. That’s true for women too. I can only opine on the group of PUAs that I know. I haven’t actually met every player in the world 🙂

  2. Ugh. I hate capitalism. Legalized thievery. If I take 5000 of a man on the street, its robbery. If I sell him a rock for 6K that cost me 1K, it’s good business.

I am not an American. That jewish toilet paper that Americans value so much is a con game and Obama is gonna make sure you can paper your wall with it.

Money is involved when you deal with people you don’t give a rip about. See a guy once, fuck him over, jew him as hard as you can. If it’s a friend, totally different. Friendship and money do not go together.

    • These are not enforced bootcamps, Ryu 🙂 People aren’t hauled out of their beds and pressed into learning pick-up. They choose/chose to spend their money this way. They could just as easily go to the library and take out a few books, like I did when I had no money to spare, and start learning about male/female psychology that way. What they are buying is the *experience* of learning and doing it live.

      • Ugh. You’re a rat Kate. Acting so innocent then when money comes up…Bam! Take ’em for all their worth. Whatever the market will bear.

Maybe I’ll become one of those fast talking, greasy slimeball con men (or gurus, as you call them) and make myself 2K a head. I’ll be the new Tony Robbins.

Either that, or I’ll go fight club style, start making designer soap for 500 bucks a bar. New secret recipe, secrets of the celebs from the Rivera! You too can be forever young.

      • That’s the second time you’ve called me a rat in two days! Are you a man or a mouse? 🙂 I’m hardly out scamming people for all they’ve got. In my state, teachers are about to lose their pensions, but I still show up to work. I’m just saying, people are free to consume or not to consume. Its their choice. People are free to eat fast food or cook their own. That’s another choice. Ultimately, I have the impression, that these pick-up guys aren’t the multi-millionaires people get the impression they are. I don’t know though. And I really do believe there are genuine ones who have the heart of teachers and simply want to educate.

  3. I’m one of the few who’ve read The Game in its 1000 pp entirety. Took notes, too. It was interesting to see Strauss go from outsider, to avid practitioner; after all, not many males want to avoid pussy.

Mystery (Erik Von Marcovik) truly discovered a remarkable, replicable social concept worth study. His immediate disciples (Style included) made worthwhile, albeit lesser contributions.

See the pattern? Christianity. One Gospel, a few disciples…then it gets watered down with copycats. Then, corrupted by scammers looking to make a buck like TV “Preachers” selling holy oil…Snake Oil Salesmen.

    See another pattern? ‘grecycling.
One Original Thinker creates, others re-create.

Only a few PUAs are worth reading: Mystery, David DeAngelo (DD), early TD (Tyler Durden) and that pair of forgotten guys who bootcamped Style – the Wolverine guy and his older hippy pal. The rest, grecycle-down into ever-lessening value. Who the fuck needs a “Cajun?”

Judge all people by the level of thought they admire.

    • That’s good. Approach and open, demonstrate value, 3s rule, sarging, overcome resistance, venue change, manage expectations. I memorized my notes but I’ve lost alot. I really enjoyed their method. If PU was a priority for me I would still use the old MM. Those acronyms were awesome! Paimai, LMR, AMOG,

Steve P and Rasputin I think it was. But I sometimes go to the modern seminars if they are free. I like to see “the state of the art.”

I know that blogsite would never allow a link to Eradica, proof of its phony hypocrisy.
I raped many a Brandon hailing from there, on Roissy’s.

Say what you will about roissy/heartiste: No poseur survives there – only The Strong. roissy’s biggest failing is supporting CRUDD, who, no doubt, has pics of R doing The Cunnilingus on an hb3. It’s the ONLY reason he supports such an unimaginative, boring hack.

Even the name is repulsive: “omegavirgin.” Blech. I mean: Why not stomp somebody who names themself that. Same goes for that fuckwipe “Uncle Elmer” in the fake silicone mask. Har-de har-har…that’s some wacky, kookoo stuff. I even berated our own Invisible Dr. Rottencrotch for a similarly self-debasing name. Gangs, the military and strong men don’t name themselves after weakness.

Omega Wirgin-Pilly and his “posseee” are the pouting sons in the crib, oh-so angwy that Daddy weft dem. They are the screeching Brandons at age 30, STILL angry at dad and just lurv rejecting the Old Man’s last attempt at reconciliation and turning it into a Lifetime Channel Movie. They are bitches all about The Payback. They are vindictive, catty girls. Bitch-bois.

They, are Generation Pussy. Brandons who’ll clog your mind with toxicity. Pussy Riot Grrls showed more balls giving Putin the finger.

They ARE The Fight Club Faggots: Now, the whiny failures got their own blog – proof blogging will fail.

Now, they suddenly “discover” MRM is a failure. That is what I said 4 years ago. Only Ryu and 3 others IIRC ever supported that ugly and supremely valid reason. Now, that faggot steals from me and surrounds herself with the same crowd that “booed” Ryu and me.

Weak and disgusting, these are the white dregs permanently damaged by Daddy Issues and Lackapussy Disease. They, are so lost – they can’t even get laid with Game. They are the scraps you can use for bayonet practice or foreskin cleaners while on patrol. Use them as Human Packmules, like Bwana did with his darkies on Safari.

How fucking crippled those fucks are.

    • @FirePower

If you actually took the time to read more deeply, you would know that there’s no posse. For example I continually tell BP the “omegavirgin” to quit whining and start getting laid (or at least stop lying to himself about how he got that way)

His analysis of the manosphere is logical, objective and critical, but when it comes to him being celibate, he suddenly goes illogical, emotional and starts using the exact same fallacies to defend his celibacy, that are used by the people he attacks.

Me? I’m not AntiPua. I’m anti-lies, anti-logical-fallacies. Same with most of the regulars on there which you mischaracterized as whiners, which is funny, since most of the regulars are like me, we only support Omega on his truth-based critics of other things. But when he himself lies about his own situation, we will pound on him. At least half of us have enjoyed partner counts way-above-the-average both in our pua and post-pua days.

      • It’s alright. I know FP and no one else really read through that entire, monsterous article. I did though. I just posted it to document it here for when it might be needed later.

Forget all of that PUA/wimminz junk, Alex. Let’s talk about something important. How do you feel about being white?

      • #1: Why would you spend valuable time reading the works of one you believe lies – then whines?

Four years… I wrote on The Spearhead itself, and preached to those there, about their inaction. When one wants to convert souls, one travels to the land of the heathen; you don’t stay in your own church.

Perhaps three others supported the Truth, now I find Former-mermers copying my message of Why MRM Will Fail: http://wp.me/p2kmGE-2R

Years before that, I revealed to PUA forums why their childish, Yoda-Worshiping Fight Club Faggots would destroy it all. Today, those forums are Ghost Towns, further inhabited by desolate, stupid ghosts.

Does a self-named entity of “omegavirgin” even accomplish anything besides symbolic “revolt?” That’s like NFL “combat.” Does such an entity warrant the efforts of followers to convert him? That’s ass-backwards blogging.

I’ve read your works and agree with some, disagree with some. I believe much of PUA works; the early, seminal tenets. The rest is just bs complications of man, like christianity proliferated dogmatic doctrines based on one…simple…book.

Why would you spend valuable time reading the works of one you believe lies?

      • Why would you spend valuable time reading the works of one you believe lies – then whines?

Because I’m not an idealogue, nor do I only hang out with gods.

There are not too many perfect human beings on this planet. If you agree 100% with everything a given person says on every subject in existence, you are most likely a disciple, not an individual.

[ednote: accepting that the author is a liar and still continuing as a reader, creates something worse than mere disciple]

      • hi Alekn –Its like firepower says, 3rd GenPUA are like emotional girls, even more like them cause they “cant help feeling that way.” He beat them up and shot them down with the truth. he’s not anti pua at all, he’s for them and believes in it and damn it, i read a bunch of the stuff on blackpill and they ARE a bunch of whiners. I can say that pua works, but not when i get hit on by losers.

        @firepower “FORMERMERMERS”==>?? LOL

[put up that skankay glamor pic]

      • It is very important to read lies, FP. At least 95% of the information out there is a lie or is false in some way. It is not enough to know “this and this is a lie” but why? Tell me about the man behind the lie. That is the mystery.

In particular, I enjoy being lied to in new imaginative ways. I want to see some good BS slinging. I’ve suspected that the PUAs had some kind of ring of buggary and that article finally confirmed it. The PUAs have a fantasic con going on and now I know almost exactly how it works.

[ednote: forewarned, is forearmed…PUA hits The Wall of Entropy like most. It’s no diff than “Brighter, WHITER Shirts!” or “New & IMPROVED Zud Gets Clothes Cleaner!!” Once you know the basics, you can sift away the dross. Soap is good. I was fortunate to see PUA in its early inception and thus can tell BS from truth. PUA works. Mystery, TD and Style’s stuff – it’s the followers that are worthless.]

      • “His analysis of the manosphere is logical, objective and critical, but when it comes to him being celibate, he suddenly goes illogical, emotional and starts using the exact same fallacies to defend his celibacy, that are used by the people he attacks.”

No kidding, man. Hasn’t BP gotten to the point where he says he adds caveats about “women only interested in him for his money”? That’s how illogical he’s gotten about the subject. BP must have women interested in him which he is unwilling to admit is real for him to add that kind of caveat.

At the very least it’s clear that BP gets laid more than anyone who writes for Eradica or inhabits the manosphere, even if he’s still a virgin.

[ed note: Now i/c your defense: putting in The Crushrr – the “you don’t get laid” gambit. Supporting anybody who “suddenly goes illogical, emotional and starts using the exact same fallacies to defend” behavior makes you Dina Lohan. tell Lindsay i still like her tits]
